Post pandemic, bachelor party budgets on the up and up the typical one-day event costing over US$300 per head, and well over US$850 for mini-vacation that’s a few night away and rivals the honeymoon.
It seems bachelor party-goers in the US are spending up big on flights, accommodation and activities that are part of extravagant and over the top celebrations. Spending well over US$1000 is not unusual, with an increasing number costing each person several thousand dollars.

In the UK, a poll of 1200 people shows that the same trend is happening with the average stag do costing punters almost £250 each . Most people reckon stag dos have become more extravagant in the past couple of years, and they put this down to making up for lost time with friends through the COVID pandemic and also being more flush with cash.
A bunch of people also thought that travellers wanted to compare themselves to social media influencers.
So, what is the typical bucks party cost in 2022 in Australia then?
Great question, and it seems Aussie data is not quite as easy to find as it is in other parts of the world.
But, if you go off what’s being spent in the US and UK – and considering that Australia is pretty similar to the US and UK in a lot of ways – you can probably expect that spending a few-hundred dollars per person on average wouldn’t be out of the question. While we’re sure that movies like the Hang Over and Crazy Rich Asians are still a major influence on more out there and extravagant bucks parties – cough cough – it seems that the other major influence is that average age to get marriage is increasing.
