Turns out, being invited to random bachelor parties is a thing.
So, where are our random bucks party invites then?
Joey was invited to a random bachelor party
A US bachelor party in Philadelphia had an unexpected, albeit invited, guest join them to celebrate the upcoming nuptials for groom Jeff Minetti. A simple slip-of-the-finger saw Jeff spell the email address wrong for one of his mates.
Jeff unknowingly invited Joey DiJulio of Washington instead of his mate that was a bit closer to home.

But instead of politely replying to Jeff and letting him know of the error of his ways, Joey set up a Go Fund Me page and raised a bunch of money to get himself a ticket on the bucks party express. Being a fly on the wall and hearing the plans for the party was too much for Joey to pass up, he just had to get to Phili and meet this bachelor party crew.
Joey contemplated just turning up unannounced, but thought that might be a bit stalkerish, so he contacted the groom to let him know the error of his way. In true bucks party style, Jeff welcomed him along to join in the festivities. Joey upped the ante on the Go Fund Me page raised $8k, giving a big chunk of money toward the lucky couple’s honeymoon.
Group email for bucks party invites Shawn to Tyler’s party
So, like a mediocre B-grade Hollywood squeal, it turns out it happened again.
Shawn McGovern’s blog titled “I was invited to a bachelor party with people I don’t even know!” details how Shawn received the random invite and slowly eased himself into the group chat with James Bond like stealth. He asked some questions and joined in the banter which meant he successfully managed to hide in plain sight.
But, like what is so typical when planning a bucks party, the communication start off strong but dies off just as quickly – which made Shawn worried that he’d been busted. But no, just in typical man style, everyone has just stopped talking. The mission had been accomplished, the plan made and Shawn had been ‘allocated’ a tent roommate. What more was left to be done?
So Shawn injected some random thoughts, questions and propositions into the chat and got the lads off and talking again. He got his beagle – Flipsy – invited, and another party goer committed to bringing their dog Choco so Flipsy would have a play mate.

Shawn is quickly becoming the most awesome mate the buck never knew you had. He even volunteered to activate BEAST MODE to gee up any boys who hadn’t RSVPed to get them to commit to coming along.
But, conscience got the better of Shawn and outed himself. But it was too late by that stage. He was already one of the bucks party crew and he was coming whether he wanted to or not. Even after he broke the news that Flipsy was, in fact, imaginary… he still kept his invite, a tent mate and a car pool ride to and from the bucks party.
So they all enjoyed a few beers, the Hammerschlager drinking game and a few pulls at clay shooting.
Is there a moral here for bucks party invites?
So, the moral to the story… make sure you’re not all thumbs when sending the invites out, make sure you know who your friends are and get their addresses right. Chances are pretty good that you won’t know everyone on the invite list, which is why it’s so easy for some random to inadvertently get the invite.
But as these two stories show, if you do stuff up invite some randoms, make sure they come along anyway!!! It might just make the night even more awesome and will definitely make a lasting memory of the bucks of the best time of his life before the best day of his life.
