Gene’s and his mates had an epic Farmstay bucks party weekend at the Ocean & Earth Farmstay where a weekend long pool comp was the highlight. The pool comp highlight reel on Gene.n.Tonic’s Instagram shows a couple of the lads breaking the rack, and one poor fella, philp0ts, absolutely tanking a shot. A fair ribbing ensues in Instagram comments, where poor philp0ts defends his honour as he rolls with good humor.
What else went on? Well, we’re not 100% sure. Gene.n.Tonic promised a full wrap-up reel on the weekend, but alas, it is yet to be published. But, if we had to hazard a guess, we’d say Gene.n.Tonic’s farmstay bucks party included:
- Some top shelf Gin and probably a Whiskey or two
- Maybe a lego challenge since Gene is a Lego Master
- Maybe some Mexican food, and hot hot sauce
- A raging overnight bonfire to provide flickering light for the boys to perform ritual hazings
- Some good tunes to make sure good vibes ran through the bucks party crew all weekend
- A slow Sunday morning with some greasy chow to kickstart the lad’s insides.
Whatever the run sheet, it must have been exactly what Gene was looking for to celebrate his transition from bachelor-hood into marriage-hood. He called it a ‘huge bucks party weekend’, so it looks like his boys gave him the best time of his life, before the best day of his life!

Ocean & Earth Farm Stay
Ocean & Earth Farmstay is a great location for a bucks party. First up, it’s in a pretty remote location, so noisy shenanigans are more acceptable than if you’re in the middle of a residential area. Apparently bucks parties can get pretty noisy, so this is pretty important to consider.
It’s on a 200 acre property located about a 2.5 hour drive north of Sydney or 40 minutes north of Newcastle. Anyone booking the farmhouse is guaranteed to have the whole pace to themselves, so no need to share the amenity or have someone challenge the bucks party crew for the pool table.
One of the awesome things to take advantage of at Ocean & Earth Farmstay is the dam – you can go swimming or canoeing, throw in a fishing line to catch that night’s dinner, or throw in a pot to catch a couple of yabbies.
It’s a great location to take a step back in the newly revamped rustic farmhouse that has the feel of the old intertwined with the comforts of the new.
