Tim Robard thoughts and feelings about his bucks weekend went from ‘shit scared’ to ‘oh yeah’, and we can see why the Hunter Valley provided for the perfect low-key affair for this celebrity buck.

His best man the planning crew did all the right things to make sure he felt suitable uneasy in the lead-up to the bucks party, jibing Robard just enough to make him think thy might actually throw him an all-in and up-in-lights monster bucks party back. But the best man knew that a big Vegas style bash simply wasn’t Tim – or if it was an off the leash bash, that it would need to be in the middle of nowhere so the paparazzi couldn’t catch any snaps. So, although he was planting seeds to make Tim sweat, he was really planning the ultimate send-off to give Tim the best time of his life, before the best day of his life.

Tim’s bucks party weekend took him from Sydney’s sunny beach side suburb out to the Hunter Valley, staying at the luxurious estate Willow Tree Estate – set on seven stunning acres to give Tim the privacy he was looking for.

We have to say that venue selection is pretty important when a celebrity wants to keep away from the snapping cameras, and this venue provided that privacy. The estate is fully decked out for a low-key and relatively well-behaved bucks party in the middle of one of Australia’s best wine regions – self contained accommodation for up to 40 people, pool, cinema room, games room, and lounge with a fireplace where the buck and his crew can be all sophisticated while enjoying a few bottles of wine.

The lads kicked off the weekend with a round of gold at the Cypress Lakes Golf & Country Club – an awesome course in the middle of the Hunter Valley. Tim loved this kick off to the festivities, and in his words it got the crew ‘Driving straight into the boys weekend away #notmuchofagolfer’.

But no matter if there were wicked slices or hellish hooks, the main thing is the have a few laughs before settling into the 19th hole. It’s not exactly clear why, but Tim was slipped into a fetching tuxedo body suit with a fetching floral jacket.

Given his line of work, we guess he’s used to spandex… and we assume the bucks parry crew had a very good reason for such formal attire, even if it wasn’t immortalised in more detail on Instagram.

One thing that we can definitely get behind is making sure that great food is part of the bucks party celebrations. Tim and his bucks part crew – all 15 of them – headed to Muse Kitchen for a great meal and wines. A great venue like Muse lets the team sit back, relax, chat and throw some banter around so that belly laughs are also serviced up all night.

Bucks party go karting was also squeezed into the weekend as well – but we’re not sure where. Apparently the crew went easy on Tim, not letting him come last. But while he may not have won the hot lap around the go kart track, we reckon the overall bucks party definitely placed in giving Tim the best time of his life, before the best day in his life.
