Profile
A Lake Weyba bucks party is in a unique part of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast region – a beautiful lake nestled in behind Peregian Beach and Noosa that is the only place in Australia to have a street named Murdering Creek Road.
Looking at the YouTube clip, this best man absolutely murdered giving the buck the best time of his life before the best day of his life, without a serial killer in sight.
The Murdering Creek Road Lake Weyba Bucks Party
- House party
- Beer, pizza and beer on arrival
- Afternoon festivities included tightrope walking, Kubb and a Soccer tournament
- Evening feast at the local club
- Back at the house it was Champagne cheers and a bonfire
- The morning after was Kayaking on Lake Weyba, a few home brews and hitting the skate park
The man-of-the-moment for this bucks party looks like he’s a pretty active and outdoorsy kind of guy, and obviously into skating. The bucks party crew got together and organised a weekend of festivities for this Lake Weyba bucks party, which was very outdoors and looks like it was right up his alley.
The Lake Weyba bucks party took place in a relative secluded looking house – did they rent it, did one of the guys own it, who knows. But, it was a great location with plenty of space to set up the activities and events planned for the bucks party weekend.
Beer and pizza on arrival is a great way to be greeted at any time of the day or night. And as the bucks party crew rolled in on day 1, that’s sweet aroma of grilled cheese on puffy dough is what was awaiting them, with cold beers for the taking to wash them all down.
Good planning had gone into the setup of events to keep everyone entertained and laughter going for the afternoon. The tightrope setup looked like something these lads had done once or twice before, which we are sure would only get more and more interesting as a more and more brews were sunk.
Talking about sinking brews, Kubb is a great bucks party game to play when your standing around drinking. The basis premise of Kubb is to stand and throw sticks at sticks, so why not have a beer in your hand while you’re throwing a stick or waiting for your turn to throw a stick (cue all Kubb experts who rightly call out that this is a grossly oversimplified assessment of Kubb)??
But it’s clear the buck loves skateboarding, so lacking an on-site skate-ramps, the boys set up a kiddy toy drop in… seems safe (but fun!).
Next, it was time for the boys to slick back their eyebrows and take the field for the bucks party soccer match. Time to burn of all that excess energy you’ve been saving up all afternoon playing those low-intensity activities and enter a high stakes game of winner take all. Not sure who won or lost, but we reckon a good penalty for the losing team would have been to buy the first round of drinks at dinner.
And that’s what was up next. A dinner feast at the local club. It’s a great low-key meal to go with a low-key bucks party. No pompousness, just good down to earth food that everyone will enjoy and a cold beer on tap.
Back to the party house off Murdering Creek Road, the serial killer still hadn’t shown up so that lads popped the cork off a bottle of Champaign and toasted to to the bucks good health. No doubt a couple of stories were told as the bubbles continued to lift the mood and everyone headed outside for the bonfire. Now, who doesn’t have a good time when there’s a bonfire involved?
Cut to the next morning and everyone seems relatively healthy, so it’s time for the lads to head off to Lake Weyba for a kayak. Such a great way to start the day, enjoying the morning atop of the lake’s gentle stillness.
With the morning-meditation done, the bucks party crew headed back to the house for some home brew from what is a pretty awesome home-brew setup. Two taps and fridge for the kegs – the head brewer is in this group of lads sure knows what he’s doing.
And to round out the bucks party, the buck headed down to the Peregian Beach Skate Park – he got his time on the board!
Fun time had all around at this Lake Weyba bucks party, and one happy buck that looks like he had the best time of his life before the best day of his life.
