Co-head writer of The Late Late Show, Ian Karmel, got married on the first weekend in September 2022 – congratulations from us Ian! And in Ian’s words his feeling about the whole getting married thing is less ‘wow… til I die‘ and more ‘wow! til I die!‘

James made a point that Ian never ended up having a bachelor party, and Ian rightly pointed out that it’s actually up to his mates to throw him a bachelor party, making a much stronger point that James should have pulled out his finger and arranged a bachelor party bash that Ian would remember for the rest of his ‘wow! til I die‘ life!!

So James, realising it was on him because he got busy and forgot to arrange it, took it on himself to throw Ian the bachelor party of a lifetime with only 90 seconds on the clock. Activities included gambling in a casino, swimming at a pool party, drinking champagne on the dancefloor, and the inevitable bachelor party hangover – all inside CBS Studio 56 in Los Angeles.

The flurry of bachelor party festivities kicked off with a couple of quick shots, before kicking some oversized dice down a hallways… was that supposed to craps… followed by a couple more quick shots.

The lads then smash the pokies, have a flutter on the blackjack table – after another quick shot – and the shot mush have been Ian’s lady luck because he hit blackjack right off the bat!

High-fives all round!

Next, VIP tickets into the pool-party meant they skipped straight to the front of the line, where they were met by a the popping of bubbles and a couple of brightly coloured cocktails which they knocked back as they leisurely strolled through the blow-up knee-deep wading pool… pink inflatable flamingo and all.

Marshmello DJed the super soaker dance party, where Ian swapped his inflatable pink flamingo with an blow-up doll.

Turn left, and James and Ian were head first into the foam party, which was the magical portal into a pole-dancing club. Two more shots, take a seat and everyone made it rain all over Ian, before he crashed Terry Crews’ back-room private party with Ian’s mum – OOPS!

Time to take the drunkard bachelor home, and Ian tips the casino staff as he’s rushed out of the 90-second bachelor party venue and has one last drink.

Strapped into a wheelchair, Ian gets the hangover cure IV drip treatment to make sure he’s bright and perky when he wakes up tomorrow. He smashed through a ‘Congratulations Ian!’ banner football grand final style, and the bachelor party ends with a confetti shower hugs and laughter all round.

Judging by the smile on Ian’s face, this is a memory that he’ll keep with him for decades as being the best 90 seconds of his life!
